I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Government College University Lahore, with expertise in therapeutic methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Behavior Modification. Additionally, I am incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles and techniques into my supervised clinical practice. I am skilled in psychological assessments and have provided therapy for issues like depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, anger management, self-esteem, phobias, stress, and schizophrenia. I also conduct personality and intelligence assessments and provide psychoeducational evaluations. In addition, I support students with academic, relational, and psychological challenges, and provide psychoeducation and counseling to families of psychotic patients. Fluent in English, Urdu, and Punjabi, I enjoy working with diverse cultural groups.
As a Psychological Associate, I’m fascinated by how small changes in the mind can lead to big transformations. Outside of work, I enjoy reading psychology research, spending time with family, and challenging my mind with puzzles and brain games.

Hello, I’m Dr. Olga Gale. I’m a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario — but more importantly, I’m someone who cares deeply about the people I work with and the stories they carry.
I know that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable. Whether you are navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, health challenges, relationship struggles, or simply feeling stuck, I believe that healing begins when we feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My role is to offer a space where you can show up as you are — without judgment — and where together, we can explore what you need to feel more whole, more grounded, and more connected to the life you want to live.
My training has taken me from York University in Toronto to the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, where I earned my Master’s and Doctor of Psychology degrees. I completed an APA-accredited internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and a postdoctoral fellowship at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington, D.C., followed by additional psychotherapy training at the Alanson White Institute in New York City. I am also listed with the National Register of Health Care Providers in Psychology.
Over the past decade, I’ve supported clients through both therapy and comprehensive assessments, including psychological and neuropsychological evaluations. In therapy, I work with individuals and couples using an integrative approach informed by humanistic and psychodynamic principles — meaning I focus on the whole person, not just the problem. Every person’s experience is different, so I tailor my work to meet your unique needs, drawing on evidence-based practices with warmth, curiosity, and compassion.
My greatest hope is that through our work together, you will feel empowered to meet life’s challenges with greater clarity, self-kindness, and resilience. If you feel ready to begin this process, I would be honored to support you on your journey.

Meet Dr. Mari Shanahan Somerville, Ph.D.
Clinical Psychologist (Supervised Practice)
Under the Supervision of Dr. Kimberly Sogge, C.Psych.
Hello, I’m Dr. Mari Shanahan Somerville. I believe that the human mind holds extraordinary power — not just to make sense of the world around us, but to shape how we heal, grow, and thrive. It would be my privilege to support you in harnessing that power to create meaningful change in your life.
Each of us carries stories, experiences, and ways of seeing the world that have been shaped by our past. While we cannot change what we’ve been through, we can change how we understand these experiences and how we respond to their echoes in our present lives. I view therapy as an opportunity to step into this kind of self-leadership — to meet yourself with compassion, curiosity, and strength as you explore new ways of relating to yourself, to others, and to the world.
I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Concordia University and bring over seven years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including private practice, community mental health, school-based care, psychiatric hospitals, and on a Mohawk reserve. This breadth of experience has taught me that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Your story is unique, and your therapy should be too.
In our work together, I will draw from a blend of evidence-based approaches, including Third Wave Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Together, we will find the tools and perspectives that best support your needs and your goals.
At the heart of my approach is a deep respect for the pace and process of each individual. I understand that it takes time to feel safe and seen, especially when exploring tender or vulnerable parts of your experience. My commitment is to offer a non-judgmental, compassionate space where you can show up fully as yourself — and where your voice and wisdom are always central to the process.
Choosing to begin therapy is an act of courage and self-respect. If you’re ready to take this step, I would be honored to walk alongside you on this path of self-discovery and healing.

Hello, I’m Yastika Kamboj — a gentle, compassionate presence dedicated to walking alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges and move toward healing, growth, and greater self-understanding.
I know that reaching out for support takes courage. My intention is to offer a safe, respectful space where you can feel seen, heard, and accepted just as you are — while also being gently supported toward the changes you long for.
My approach to therapy is rooted in evidence-based, compassion-focused practices. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), weaving these together in a way that honors your unique experiences, values, and goals. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, low mood, self-criticism, body image concerns, relationship difficulties, or life transitions, my focus is on supporting you in building a kinder relationship with yourself and with the world around you.
I also provide psychological assessments to help bring clarity and understanding to the challenges you may be facing.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from McGill University and have clinical experience across private practice, college mental health, and university counselling settings. Currently, I am honored to be practicing as a Third Wave Psychology Fellow and Psychologist Supervised Therapist under the mentorship of Dr. Kimberly Sogge, as I complete my registration as a psychological associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
If you are ready to begin this journey toward greater ease, self-compassion, and well-being, I would be honored to support you.

Registered Clinical Psychologist & Primary Supervisor
My intention as a therapist is to help you overcome barriers to change, open up to experience, and increase trust in yourself. Together we will shed light on how your emotions, thoughts, and behaviours make sense, so that you can improve your self-understanding and make meaningful choices that allow you to grow.
There is no wrong place to start and I will meet you right where you are in your process. For so many of us, anger, shame, sadness, and fear were necessary defenses against past experiences. I will meet you from a non-judgmental place so that you can safely observe these thoughts and emotions and learn to relate to yourself and others in healthier ways.
My training primarily focused on ACT and process-based CBT approaches, but included psychodynamic and DBT orientations as well, esp. in working with challenges related to personality.

Sometimes life can be challenging; sometimes those challenges can be overwhelming. Entering therapy is a critical step to regaining control and directing your life back onto your chosen path. I provide my clients with a safe and non-judgemental space to examine their lives, and start on the journey back to a healthier, more satisfactory way of living. This is a collaborative effort; my job is not to tell you what to do, but to help guide the discovery of what will work best for you.
I provide counselling and psychotherapy for adults and couples experiencing psychological, emotional, and relationship distress. Common difficulties are anxiety, depression, stress, communication problems, grief and loss, trauma, and existential issues regarding creating meaning in one’s life. These issues can cause impairment at work, school, and in our day-to-day interactions with other people, or make you feel “stuck” and unable to move your life forward in a way that is authentic, healthy, and congruent with your values. I am comfortable working with people of diverse ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds, as well as people in the LGBTQQ2SIA+ community. My experience includes assessment and treatment in hospital inpatient as well as outpatient populations, community mental health, and private practice. I have experience with psychodiagnostic assessment, sex and couples therapy, group therapy, and individual therapy for anxiety, depression, and personality disorders, and trauma therapy for members of the RCMP and Canadian Armed Forces. I take an integrative approach to therapy, and my therapeutic modalities include cognitive-behavioural (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT), psychodynamic, and existential/humanistic. When working with couples, I focus of issues of emotional connection and communication, and my treatment approach is informed by the research of John Gottman. As therapy progresses, we will check in together to ensure our approach is working and modify if necessary. I am currently providing services at Ottawa River Integrated Mental Health under the supervision of Dr. Paul Grunberg, C. Psych., and Dr. Kimberly Sogge, C. Psych.

Hello, I’m Dr. Tripti Jaiswal, a clinical psychologist with a deep passion for supporting adults through life’s challenges toward greater ease, balance, and well-being. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or stress, navigating the complexities of trauma, or simply longing to feel more grounded and present in your life, I am here to offer a space where you can feel truly heard, understood, and supported.
I believe that therapy works best when it feels like a collaboration — a safe, respectful relationship where we explore not only the struggles that bring you here, but also the strengths, values, and hopes that can guide your healing. My approach is integrative, weaving together evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and mindfulness-based techniques. With each person I work with, I tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs — because I know that no two journeys are alike.
My work is informed by both clinical psychology and positive psychology, grounded in science yet centered on compassion. I hold a Ph.D. from Panjab University in India, and I am honored to bring a multicultural lens to my practice. For many clients — especially those living between cultures, juggling personal and professional demands, or seeking a sense of belonging — I offer an approach that respects complexity and celebrates resilience.
In addition to my clinical work, my experience spans roles as a private practice psychologist, assistant professor, corporate research analyst, and volunteer mental health provider during the COVID-19 pandemic in India. These diverse experiences have deepened my understanding of the many ways people suffer — and the many ways they heal.
I am fluent in both English and Hindi, which allows me to offer therapy in the language that feels most natural and comfortable for you.
If you are ready to take the next step toward healing, clarity, and self-discovery, I would be honored to walk alongside you. Together, we can create the space for meaningful change and build the tools you need to move forward with strength and confidence.

Meet Dr. Kimberly Sogge, Ph.D., C.Psych.
Founder, Clinical Director & Lead Psychologist
(Currently Closed to New Clients)
I am the founder of Ottawa River Psychology and Ottawa River Integrative Mental Health Inc., where I’ve had the privilege of nurturing the growth of our clinic community since 2007. Over the years, I have guided the evolution of Ottawa River into what it is today: a compassionate, skilled, and mindful team of clinicians — psychologists, psychotherapists, and health professionals — all deeply committed to the same values of integrity, evidence-based care, and heartfelt presence.
Although my individual caseload is currently closed to new clients, I remain fully engaged in the care offered at Ottawa River through ongoing mentoring, supervision, consultation, and training with every clinician on our team. The care you receive here reflects not only the dedication and expertise of the clinician you work with, but also the collaborative spirit and shared wisdom that flows through our whole community of practice.
I believe that truly transformative therapy is not just about clinical knowledge — it is about the integrity, presence, and compassion that we bring into the therapeutic relationship. My own work draws on over 30 years of experience in mental health, including my roles as former Chief of Psychology Professional Practice at the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group and Assistant Professor of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry at the Texas A&M College of Medicine. Equally important is my lifelong commitment to mindfulness and contemplative practice, with more than 18 years of experience as a meditation practitioner and teacher in the Buddhist tradition.
These foundations shape not only my own clinical work but also the culture of care at Ottawa River. Every clinician here is supported through regular consultation, training, and supervision that ensures your therapy is grounded in the best of science, delivered with mindful attention, and guided by compassion.
When you reach out to work with any member of our team, you can feel confident that you are stepping into a space where you will be met with skill, respect, and genuine care. It is my privilege to hold space for the continued learning and excellence of our clinicians so that your healing journey is well-supported at every step.
If you are ready to begin your work with one of our clinicians, I invite you to connect with our Care Coordination team — they will help guide you toward the therapist who is the best fit for your needs.
